Recycling

Bardon Esh shares the aims and key objectives of the Esh Group to achieve high standards of environmental practice.  We feel this to be fundamental to our objective to help protect the natural environment and its resources for future generations.

A range of waste materials is received at the company’s facility at Haverton Hill in Tees Valley.  Through a series of processes the majority is rendered suitable for re-use in a variety of construction processes.  A number of sister companies within the Esh Group utilise the Bardon Esh recycling capabilities in order to effect environmental improvements to their processes and contruction activities.

The level of recycling being achieved has resulted in less than 20% of the materials received at Haverton Hill being subsequently taken to landfill sites. 

The range of materials recycled include:

• Timber which is used in the manufacture of a variety of boarding materials
• Brick and concrete which is crushed and graded as aggregate
• Inert materials which are used in reclamation schemes
• Green materials which are used on landscaping projects
• Scrap metals which are reprocessed
  

Aggregate Sales (Recycled Crushed Stone)

Stone, brick and concrete waste are sorted, crushed and graded at the recycling facility in Haverton Hill.  Type 1 and 6F4 aggregates are stored here for re-use in construction processes.  Top soil is also available for sale.
